Breast Education and Awareness Project

The Vinton County Health Department; funded by Komen Columbus, an affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, is now offering breast health services to the residents of Vinton County.

The Breast Education and Awareness Project (BEAP) has a wide variety of educational materials and a breast  health educator available to all women of Vinton County.  Services offered include free mammograms and gas vouchers for out of town appointments that are related to breast health or breast health follow up.

Individuals that may qualify for the free mammograms and gas vouchers include women who are:

  • 40 years old or older
  • Have no insurance or have a high deductible
  • Have insurance that does not cover mammograms
  • Live in Vinton County

Call to see how the BEAP can help you, your family members, and friends:

These services are available at the Vinton County Health Department, in part, by a grant award received from Susan G. Komen for the Cure Columbus Affiliate.  Call for more information or to schedule an appointment today.
