Child and Family Health Services Child and Family Health Services (CFHS) is a grant program funded through the Ohio Department of Health. The CFHS program develops programs and services to improve the health of women, infants, children, adolescents and families of Ohio. Based on the identified needs of each community CFHS programs may provide programs in the following five components: Community Health Assessment and Planning, Child and Adolescent Health, Perinatal Health, Family Planning, and the Ohio Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative. The CFHS Grant provides funding for the following services in Vinton County: community health assessment and planning, immunization reminder and recall, nutrition and physical activity education and education to reduce the rates of infant mortality and preterm birth. Children aged birth to twenty one and pregnant women are eligible for CFHS services. All CFHS services are provided on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. No one is denied services for inability to pay.
