Free Vision Clinic: There will be a free Vision Clinic on Monday, June 2nd, at the Vinton County Health Department.  Everyone from birth to 21 years of age is eligible for this free service.  Please call 596-5233 or 1-800-596-5233 for more information or to schedule your appointment. 
   

Rabies Immunization Clinic: The 2008 Rabies Immunizations Clinics in Vinton County will be held at the following locations between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Costs of immunizations are $5.00.  Dogs must be on leash and have a 2008 license or a license can be purchased at the clinic to receive the vaccine.  The cost of the license will be $7.00 and a kennel license is $35.00.  No late fees will charged on licenses purchased at the clinic sites.  Cats must be in a covered basket or box.  Cats and dogs need to be 6 months of age or older. 

Vaccinations for dogs will last for 3 years.  Vaccinations for cats will last for 1 year. 

We will also offer the 7 way shots for dogs at a cost of $20.00.  The Feline Leukemia Plus annual vaccine for cats will also be offered for a cost of $20.00. 

THE VINTON COUNTY RABIES CLINIC IS FOR VINTON COUNTY RESIDENTS ONLY.  Proof of residence may be required.

Flu Clinic Dates:

Flu vaccine will be offered at the Vinton County Health Department during the regular immunization clinic schedule starting October 15, 2007.

The cost of flu vaccine is $20.00.  Pneumonia Vaccine is $30.00.  Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted.  No appointments are necessary.
